چکیده
Background: The present study compared the effects of performing lateral squat exercise in three different formats from eccentric overload training on concentric/eccentric peak/mean power and inter-limb asymmetries young soccer players. Methods: Forty-five male (U-17) players were distributed into groups. Two groups performed same volume with both legs, beginning weaker leg (SVW, n = 15) or stronger (SVS, 15). third group executed double also commenced such (DVW, during a 10-week period. Pre- post-intervention metrics included concentric test their corresponding asymmetries. Results: All improved all variables. Concentric mean peak asymmetry substantially reduced SVW (ES: 0.89), DVW 0.43), 1.60). Eccentric decreased 0.81) 0.68). Between-group analyses showed better performance variables legs SVS. Conclusions: Those which started greater enhancements reductions

The effect of two plyometric training techniques on muscular power and agility in youth soccer players.
The aim of this study was to compare the effects of two plyometric training techniques on power and agility in youth soccer players. Twelve males from a semiprofessional football club's academy (age = 17.3 +/- 0.4 years, stature = 177.9 +/- 5.1 cm, mass = 68.7 +/- 5.6 kg) were randomly assigned to 6 weeks of depth jump (DJ) or countermovement jump (CMJ) training twice weekly. Participants in th...

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of 3 post-match recovery modalities on physical performance, physiological measures, and players' perceptions of recovery after 90-minute soccer match play. On separate days, 28 young (age: 14.3 +/- 0.7 years) soccer players played 3 soccer matches each randomly followed by 1 of 3 recovery modalities: (a) CONT-cold (12 degrees C) water immersion...

BACKGROUND To determine the effects of a low dose, short-term Creatine monohydrate (Cr) supplementation (0.03 g.kg.d-1 during 14 d) on muscle power output in elite youth soccer players. METHODS Using a two-group matched, double blind, placebo-controlled design, nineteen male soccer players (mean age = 17.0 ± 0.5 years) were randomly assigned to either Cr (N = 9) or placebo (N = 10) group. Bef...
متن کاملEffects of plyometric training on soccer players
Plyometric training (PT) is a technique used to increase strength and explosiveness. It consists of physical exercises in which muscles exert maximum force at short intervals to increase dynamic performances. In such a training, muscles undergo a rapid elongation followed by an immediate shortening (stretch-shortening contraction), utilizing the elastic energy stored during the stretching phase...
